Anxiety Management

Some situations may cause anxieties or even panic, usually because of thoughts of potential embarrassment or the fear of appearing “out of place” or looking foolish.  This may lead to avoiding situations and social contact, which if not tackled, could lead to problems of agoraphobia.  Agoraphobia causes people retreat to places, or to interact only with certain people where they can feel safe. 

Some of the symptoms of generalised anxiety include, panic attacks, racing heart, shaking, trembling, sweating, etc. 

Using positive health approaches to coach clients on techniques to improve confidence, self esteem, breathing, relaxation and avoiding exhaustion are examples of cognitive behavioural therapy that have been proved highly successful.
